Light and bright: that is what this Japanese hanging lamp is all about. The paper used in the Lantern is Sekishu washi, produced in the Shimane Prefecture and known for its excellent quality and lightness. Craftsmanship and a love of tradition are the guiding principles in manufacturing these Japanese lanterns, while mulberry fibre and bark are what makes them durable. The light filtering through the Sekishu washi envelops everything in a delicate and gentle glow. This harmoniously designed lamp consists of an internal painted, stainless-steel plate; a shade in Japanese paper (washi) with a steel wire wrapped in Japanese paper (washi); a natural basswood border; and black painted steel feet.
