BOFFI|DEPADOVA PARIS HOSTS TIME & STYLE ĒDITION WITH ITS “RADICAL!” THEME FOR DESIGNER’S DAYS
Roberto Gavazzi, CEO Boffi|DePadova, and Ryutaro Yoshida, founder of Time & Style, present the Time & Style ēdition installation that links Japanese craftsmanship with the Made in Italy know-how of Boffi|DePadova. Framed by Japanese-style graphics in the window display that depict cherry blossoms, one finds a series of light fixtures, both suspended and floor lamps.
The Boffi|DePadova Paris showroom hosts this exclusive project that blends contemporary design and tradition. The Japanese craft heritage of Time & Style ēdition interprets the event’s theme, “Radical!”, with its Bombori, Lantern and Nagoya lamps.
The simplicity of the shapes in cedar and linden wood pair with the delicate washi paper, a traditional Japanese material that softly filters the light. The same concept is seen in the Shoji screen from the 2023 collection that provides a rhythmic feel to the space. The two versions, one with the washi paper and the other done only in cedar, adhere to a refined philosophy that remains faithful to the brand’s roots: in place of metal joints, these simple, sturdy elements are in washi paper that join the trellis.
This experiential journey describes in visual form the synergy of the Time & Style ēdition collection with the organic shapes of the De Padova furnishings and the architectural systems from Boffi and ADL.
