Boffi|DePadova @ London Design Festival 2024
Boffi|DePadova participates at the 2024 edition of the London Design Festival with its latest creations for the home that were first presented at Salone del Mobile 2024, the event which marked the 90th anniversary of Boffi. At its spectacular Chelsea showroom, a refined 900-sqm loft laid out over three floors that outlines an elegant and unconventional residential story, this important anniversary is presented in a variety of creative languages.
Welcoming guests at the showroom’s entrance is the monolithic Cove Kitchen, designed by the Boffi Research & Development department together with the Zaha Hadid Design Studio. The space then proceeds to reveal geometric elements: the living area features the comfortable Alberese XL sofa by Lissoni paired with the Elisa Ossino-designed Helium light sculpture and the D’Antan armchair, a new creation by Raffaella Mangiarotti. Next to it one finds the perfectly integrated EVERYDAY LIFE Paul Smith + De Padova collection.
Alongside Boffi and De Padova, ADL debuts in Chelsea with MyRoom, the framed glass compartmentalization system that permits good visibility while promoting a suitable space where one can focus on their hobbies. With the Antibes system, a perfect wine cellar is created showing off a modern vibe and featuring ample storage for wine glasses, all while not losing the stylistic continuity of the surrounding furnishing elements.
On each floor, new pieces intermix seamlessly with the established iconic designs from the group to create a perfect dialogue between past and present. Take the new Pillow ’20 edition, which picks up from the sofa designed by Magistretti and gives the padding, seat depth and fabrics a contemporary refresh.
This dedicated focus on materials and compositions, together with top-tier manufacturing, emphasises beauty and refinement, making it the starting off point for the Boffi|DePadova group. The result is architectural-minded solutions to improve indoor and outdoor space via good design and partnerships that shun standardisation in favour of custom, high-quality products made in Italy.
