A project can start from infinite points. This refurbishment of a private apartment by architect Alessandra Sacchi, in collaboration with the De Padova team in Milan, started from the strong relationship with its location, an upscale district unofficially called “Quadrilatero del silenzio” and characterised by Art Deco architecture.
Light colours are diffused in the space and its furniture, in a juxtaposition of different materials and fabrics. The final result magnifies the ethereal external atmosphere and allows it to flow throughout the interiors. Traces of history are well visible in the decorations of the doors, in the plaster ceilings and bleached wooden floors.
A game of references, enhanced by the strategical positioning of mirrors, like the large Veneziana by Piero Lissoni in the dining room that becomes a focal point reflecting the green of the terrace.
The triple signature Boffi, De Padova, MA / U Studio furnish the environments, conveying a soothing domestic atmosphere and its inner emotional relationship between the collections in a rigorous, yet enveloping functionality. A recognisable and elastic image of everyday intimacy, ready to be lived in.
